Five years ago, we spent a luxurious week at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera near Playa del Carmen. It was our only visit to Mexico so far, but we hope to go back one day. The resort, the food, the entertainment, the service, we’d give everything 5 stars. Not a single complaint! The only time we left the resort was for a catamaran snorkeling trip to Isla Mujeres, which was a great experience. Highly recommend!

Next time, cross the water and stay on Cozumel. OR fly there is a directly from Denver. 🙂 It’s our happy place. We have been there 3 times and other places in Mexico just don’t quite measure up. Although, I say that and it sounds like we’re going to Cabo with friends this summer! We love Mexico!

I’d love to go there after reading your posts about it! We still aren’t comfortable leaving the country just yet, because not being able to return home would be a problem with running out store. It’s tempting, though. 🙂
On the bright side of that, our best friends bought a townhome on Anna Maria Island. Love that beach, too, plus a free place to stay with our besties!
