travel tuesday: dreamin’ of the beach

Comments 3 Standard

This was just 5 DAYS AGO! The view from our table at The Beach House on Bradenton Beach, Anna Maria Island, was as wonderful as the food. I keep clicking my heels together and chanting, “There’s no place like the beach, there’s no place like the beach, there’s no place like the beach.” But, unlike Dorothy, I have not been magically relocated. Watch for a long post or two about our trip coming soon. In the meantime, check out my post from our last trip there, Do’s and Don’ts when visiting Anna Maria Island.

  1. Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, a long way from Florida, I have never been in the state. It seems like everyone has been going lately. Visit Florida must be very happy! I haven’t had much desire to go there, but those beaches sure look nice!

    • Before 2020, we had only been to Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando, and didn’t have the urge to go back to those cities. We’d heard about Anna Maria Island from our best friends for years, and Scott’s cousin lives in Indian Rocks Beach, so we both came up with visiting the Gulf Coast at the same time. Leaving the country while owning the store makes us nervous, so we decided to visit that part of Florida instead. It’s so different from the other parts of the state that we’d been, and we fell in love with it.
